News: 6 days agoMcNichols (quadriceps) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit.

Spin: McNichols is nursing a quad injury that he sustained during training camp practice last week, which will sideline him for each of the Commanders' first two preseason games. With McNichols, Rachaad White (hamstring) and Jacory Croskey-Merritt (undisclosed) sidelined, the Commanders backfield will be led by rookie sixth-rounder Kaytron Allen, with Robert Henry and Craig Reynolds also in the mix for reps.
