The NBA season is inching closer and closer with the schedule for the 2026-27 season officially announced on Thursday. And team's brought their A-game when it came to social media reveals of their 82 games.

The NBA's opening night on Oct. 20 is headlined by the New York Knicks raising their championship banner against the newly-minted Philadelphia 76ers with LeBron James and Jaylen Brown. The Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons face off in the NBC tripleheader on Oct. 20 in a rare matinee (3 p.m. ET). The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs close out the night in a rematch of the Western Conference finals.

ESPN/ABC will broadcast five games on Christmas Day, starting off with a rematch of the 2026 NBA Finals with the Knicks hosting the Spurs. It's an NBA-record 59th Christmas game for New York. The other Christmas Day matchups include: the Miami Heat vs. Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers vs. 76ers, Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors.
