Fantasy Men's Basketball
News: 16 hours agoMcDaniels (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Heat.
Spin: McDaniels and several other Timberwolves players -- including LaMelo Ball (rest) and Anthony Edwards (rest) -- will be idle for Saturday's preseason contest. McDaniels' next opportunity to play is Monday against New York.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: McDaniels is coming off the best season of his career, and at 25 years old is on the cusp of his athletic prime years. McDaniels' role could be larger this season after the Timberwolves traded away Julius Randle and Naz Reid while bringing in only Jonathan Kuminga as a starting-caliber replacement. He is a jack-of-all trades that scores in the mid-teens, shoots good percentages and contributes 1+ blocks, steals and 3-pointers per game. This gives him major upside in category leagues, with top-50 potential.
