Fantasy Men's Basketball
News: 15 hours agoHaliburton will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Hawks due to a right ankle injury, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Spin: Haliburton tweaked his right ankle during the Pacers' preseason game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday, when he played 16 minutes and finished with seven points, six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in a 123-112 win for Indiana. The good news for Haliburton is that his ankle issue is not related to the Achilles injury that caused him to miss the entire 2025-26 season. His next chance to play is Tuesday against the Thunder.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Haliburton is returning after a year away from the NBA recovering from a torn Achilles tendon. In his three full seasons with the Pacers, Haliburton has averaged a rounded 20-10 points-assists double-double with good shooting percentages and almost three 3-pointers a night. While Haliburton may be monitored early in the season, he is more than a year removed from the injury and expected to return to his typical level before long. The Pacers have shooters and finishers at every position, so if he is at full strength Haliburton has the potential to challenge for the league lead in assists.
