News: 19 hours agoBarrett recorded 20 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 23 minutes in Saturday's 114-106 preseason win over the Clippers.
Spin: Barrett's 20 points were a game high, and he finished with a ridiculous plus-21 differential in the win. He's not a great free-throw shooter, and he won't do much in the defensive categories, but Barrett should be a reliable source of points and triples as one of the key cogs in Toronto's offense this season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Barrett has been a consistent 20-point scorer for five straight seasons. He doesn't generate many defensive stats, but he does get a handful of rebounds and assists and knocks down almost two 3-pointers per game. Barrett's scoring output could be limited a bit this season by the presence of new high-volume scoring teammate Kawhi Leonard, but Barrett should remain the second scoring option for the Raptors and produce solid numbers in that role.
