News: 1 day agoWiggins (rest) won't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Timberwolves, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
Spin: Wiggins will skip Saturday's exhibition for maintenance reasons, but he should return for Wednesday's preseason game against Brooklyn. Wiggins' absence should open up minutes for Myron Gardner and Simone Fontecchio.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Wiggins should open the season as Miami’s third option behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo. Playing off those two should give Wiggins more catch-and-shoot opportunities and help his efficiency, but it could also keep his usage modest. A breakout season is unlikely, but replicating last season’s production isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Wiggins is a solid target in the double-digit rounds for managers looking for scoring, threes and rebounds.
