Small's 26 points power Grizzlies over Warriors

Javon Small scored a game-high 26 points and the Memphis Grizzlies used a dominant second half to cruise past the Golden State Warriors for a 106-85 victory in an NBA summer league game Tuesday at the Pavilion in Las Vegas.

Small was one of seven Grizzlies to score in double figures, shooting 5-for-8 from 3-point range and adding seven assists. Undrafted rookie Brendan Hausen scored 20 points off the bench, connecting on 6 of 8 from beyond the arc. No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer overcame a scoreless first half to finish with 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Memphis. Taylor Hendricks added 13 points, Tyler Burton had 11, and Cedric Coward and Jahmai Mashack each scored 10.

Golden State was led by its lottery pick, Yaxel Lendeborg, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. The No. 11 pick in last month's draft was one of five Warriors in double figures. Will Richard and Chance McMillian each chipped in 11 points, and Malevy Leons and second-round pick Lajae Jones both scored 10.

The score was tight through the first two quarters, with Memphis taking a 47-44 lead into halftime. The Grizzlies blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 29-13 to seize control. Lendeborg briefly appeared to injure his ankle in the third quarter but was able to return to the game. Memphis continued to build its advantage in the final period, leading by as many as 27 points and shooting 53.1% from 3-point range.
