Kobe Johnson scores 17 as Hawks rally in 4th to beat Nets

Kobe Johnson scored 17 points and the Atlanta Hawks used a dominant fourth quarter to rally past the Brooklyn Nets for an 83-76 victory in the NBA summer league on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The Hawks trailed for most of the game and faced a deficit as large as 13 points. Atlanta entered the final period down 60-57 before outscoring Brooklyn 26-16 to seize control. A 12-0 run midway through the fourth quarter gave the Hawks the lead for good.

First-round pick Zuby Ejiofor provided a strong all-around performance for Atlanta, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Zeke Mayo added 11 points and three steals off the bench, while fellow first-rounder Kingston Flemings, the No. 8 pick, contributed nine points, seven rebounds and five assists. Second-round pick Henri Veesaar added six points and two blocks.

For the Nets, Chaney Johnson delivered a standout performance in the loss, recording a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds while also collecting five steals. Danny Wolf matched him with 20 points and added five rebounds, and Ben Saraf chipped in 15 points and five assists. Second-round pick Tyler Bilodeau, the No. 43 selection, contributed five points and four rebounds.

Brooklyn struggled mightily from long distance, shooting just 2-for-24 (8.3%) from 3-point range, which hampered its ability to hold off Atlanta's late charge.
