UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee will return to action against Anthony Hamilton at UFC 181 on Dec. 6.
Officials confirmed the bout to ESPN.com on Thursday. The pay-per-view event will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Last year, Duffee (8-2) was diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner syndrome, a rare nerve disorder which can cause abrupt shoulder pain and loss of motor function. He has not fought since earning a TKO win against Phil de Fries in December 2012.
The 28-year-old Duffee has since been cleared to resume his career. All eight of his pro wins have come via knockout. He trains out of American Top Team.
Hamilton (13-3) is coming off a second-round TKO over Ruan Potts at UFC 177 last month in Sacramento. A former NJCAA wrestler, Hamilton has gotten off to a 1-1 start since signing with the UFC this year.
A middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort is scheduled to headline UFC 181.
