ARLINGTON, Texas -- Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. exited early from Sunday's series finale at the Texas Rangers because of left lower back tightness.
Guerrero was replaced in the field in the bottom of the fourth inning. Myles Straw entered the game in left field, while Josh Smith moved from there to third base. Kazuma Okamoto then switched from third to first base, where Guerrero was playing.
Guerrero had a single in the first inning and hit a comebacker to Jacob deGrom in the third.
Guerrero is hitting .263 with nine homers and 56 RBIs in 141 games this season.
Okamoto played only one inning at first base. He moved back to third after Charles McAdoo pinch hit for Smith in the fifth inning and then entered the game at first base.
