Pirates prevail in Cole's first return to L.A.

Former UCLA star Gerrit Cole (5-3) allowed three runs and six hits over 6 1/3 innings in his first career appearance at Chavez Ravine, and the Pirates beat Los Angeles 6-3 on Thursday for only their third victory in their past 20 games at Dodger Stadium.
