HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- — Amarr Knox's 14 points helped Alabama State defeat Alabama A&M 69-65 on Saturday night.
Knox went 6 of 13 from the field (2 for 3 from 3-point range) for the Hornets (7-11, 3-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Micah Simpsom scored 14 points while shooting 4 for 8 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.
