NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Drew Windler was 7 of 7 from the field and scored 18 points Tuesday night as Belmont defeated Brescia of the NAIA 102-68.
Windler was 4 of 4 from behind the arc as the Bruins (7-1) shot 61.8 percent (42 of 68) from the floor and outscored Brescia by 28 points in the first half.
Brescia improved dramatically in the second half and committed just seven turnovers compared to 12 in the first. The Bearcats were only outscored 43-37 in the final 20 minutes, but Belmont had a 38-19 advantage in rebounding.
Decarlos Collier finished with a game-high 21 points for the Bearcats (5-4), scoring 16 of his points in the second half. The Bruins capitalized by scoring 36 points off 19 turnovers, while Brescia turned 11 Belmont turnovers into six points.
