Stony Brook dominates Marist 71-55
STONY BROOK, NY -- Jameel Warney scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds on Friday night and Stony Brook dominated Marist in a 71-55 win.
Anthony Jackson broke the game open with a layup at the 1:01 mark in the first half, giving the Seawolves a 31-30 lead and sparking a 14-0 run. Jackson scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and Eric McAlister added 11.
Isaiah Morton led the scoring for Marist with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Chavaughn Lewis added 14.
Stony Brook led by as much as 19 points and dominated the inside game, scoring 34 points in the paint compared with 10 for Marist. The Seawolves out-rebounded the Red Foxes 43 to 34, scored 13 points off of turnovers and had nine fast-break points.
