ITA BENA, Miss. -- — PJ Henry's 16 points helped Texas Southern defeat Mississippi Valley State 73-52 on Saturday night.
Henry also contributed three steals for the Tigers (11-14, 9-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jonathan Cisse scored 11 points while going 4 of 7 (1 for 3 from 3-point range). Deon Stroud also had 11 points and shot 3 for 6, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
The Delta Devils (0-27, 0-14) were led by Danny Washington, who posted 17 points. Rayquan Brown added 12 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks for Mississippi Valley State. Walter Hamilton also had six points. The loss is the 29th in a row for the Delta Devils, dating to last season.
