TAMPA, Fla. -- — Chris Youngblood scored 17 points as South Florida beat Temple 76-68 on Thursday night in an American Athletic Conference opener.
Youngblood shot 6 for 15 (3 for 8 from 3-point range) and 2 of 4 from the free throw line for the Bulls (8-4). Kobe Knox scored 15 points, going 6 of 10 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 1 for 3 from the line. Selton Miguel shot 5 for 14 (2 for 7 from 3-point range) and 2 of 5 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points, while adding seven rebounds. The Bulls extended their winning streak to six games.
Joran Riley led the Owls (7-7) in scoring, finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Hysier Miller added 17 points, four assists and three steals for Temple. In addition, Shane Dezonie finished with 10 points.
