Gill and Brantley score 15 points apiece, La Salle knocks off George Washington 72-66
PHILADELPHIA -- — Anwar Gill and Khalil Brantley scored 15 points apiece to lead La Salle past George Washington 72-66 on Saturday.
Brantley added seven rebounds and six assists for the Explorers (15-15, 6-11 Atlantic 10 Conference). Rokas Jocius had 13 points and finished 5 of 8 from the field.
The Revolutionaries (14-15, 3-13) were led in scoring by Darren Buchanan Jr., who finished with 21 points and six rebounds. James Bishop added 18 points for George Washington. In addition, Jacoi Hutchinson finished with 15 points. The loss is the 12th straight for the Revolutionaries.
Gill scored 13 points to help La Salle build a 38-30 halftime lead. Gill scored 13 points in the half. The second half featured six lead changes and was tied three times.
