NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- — Ryan Myers scored 22 points as Western Illinois beat Tennessee State 68-61 on Saturday night.

Myers added five rebounds for the Leathernecks (17-10, 10-4 Ohio Valley Conference). Drew Cisse scored 14 points and added five rebounds. JJ Kalakon was 4 of 11 shooting, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 4 from the line to finish with 11 points.

The Tigers (15-12, 8-6) were led by Marcus Fitzgerald Jr., who posted 20 points. Jason Jitoboh added 13 points for Tennessee State.

Both teams play Thursday. Western Illinois hosts Morehead State and Tennessee State hosts Eastern Illinois.
