St. John's defeats Fordham 77-55
NEW YORK -- — Joel Soriano scored 20 points as St. John's beat Fordham 77-55 on Saturday night.
Soriano had 10 rebounds and three blocks for the Red Storm (7-3). Chris Ledlum scored 11 points while going 3 of 6 and 5 of 6 from the free throw line, and added five rebounds. Jordan Dingle had eight points and went 3 of 5 from the field.
The Rams (5-6) were led in scoring by Joshua Rivera, who finished with 15 points. Abdou Tsimbila added 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Fordham. Japhet Medor also recorded seven points and four assists.
Fordham hosts Central Connecticut State on Thursday.
St. John's next game is Wednesday against Xavier at home.
