MOBILE, Ala. -- — Samuel Tabe scored 19 points as South Alabama beat Troy 74-71 on Thursday night.
Tabe also had seven rebounds and five assists for the Jaguars (10-8, 3-3 Sun Belt Conference). Tyrell Jones scored 17 points while going 4 of 9 from the floor, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range, and 5 for 6 from the line, and added five rebounds and four steals. Isiah Gaiter had 13 points and shot 5 for 10, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc.
Christyon Eugene finished with 18 points for the Trojans (11-7, 5-1). Myles Rigsby added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Troy. In addition, Aamer Muhammad had nine points. The loss ended a six-game winning streak for the Trojans.
