ORLANDO, Fla. -- — Pierre Brooks' 25 points helped Butler defeat Boise State 70-56 on Sunday night at the ESPN Events Invitional.
Brooks shot 9 for 16 (4 for 7 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free throw line for the Bulldogs (5-2). Jahmyl Telfort scored 11 points and added five assists. Posh Alexander finished 5 of 9 from the field to finish with 10 points, while adding seven rebounds.
Tyson Degenhart finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals for the Broncos (3-3). Jace Whiting added nine points for Boise State. O'Mar Stanley also recorded eight points, six rebounds and two blocks.
