Harris lifts Stephen F Austin past SE Louisiana 82-71

HAMMOND, La. -- Kevon Harris had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Roti Ware added a career-high 20 points and Stephen F. Austin topped Southeastern Louisiana 82-71 on Thursday.

Cameron Johnson had 18 points and nine rebounds for SFA (12-2, 3-0 Southland Conference), which earned its fifth straight victory. David Kachelries added 10 points. Johnson was 8 of 10 from the field and Ware made 7 of 11 as SFA shot 51%.

SFA went on a 13-0 run in the first half to take a 42-26 lead at the break. SE Louisiana put up 45 second-half points, a season high for the team.

Byron Smith had 15 points for the Lions (3-10, 0-2), whose losing streak stretched to four games. Isiah Kirby added 11 points, and LaQuan Butler had 10 points.

Stephen F. Austin faces New Orleans on the road on Saturday. SE Louisiana takes on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on the road on Saturday.
