SAN ANTONIO -- Jalon Gates had 24 points as Houston Baptist ended its seven-game losing streak, topping Incarnate Word 88-76 on Wednesday night. Benjamin Uloko added 20 points for the Huskies.
Ian DuBose had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Houston Baptist (4-24, 4-15 Southland Conference). Qon Murphy added six rebounds.
Keaston Willis had 23 points for the Cardinals (9-21, 6-13), whose losing streak reached four games. Drew Lutz added 20 points and six assists. Des Balentine had 10 points.
