LOWELL, Mass. -- Matt Harris scored 19 points with five 3-pointers, including a go-ahead 3 amid a late run, and UMass Lowell rallied to beat Loyola (MD) 83-75 on Sunday.
Jahad Thomas scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Ryan Jones added 13 points with three 3s, and Shawn Jones made six assists for UMass Lowell (5-1).
After trailing since 8-7, the River Hawks scored six straight 3s amid a 23-1 run and led 76-66 after Harris' triple with 3:11 to play. Harris and Jones each had two 3s in the run and Thomas and Josh Gantz hit one apiece.
Loyola led 45-40 at halftime behind Cam Gregory's 12 points after outshooting the River Hawks 53.6 percent to 41.2 percent from the floor.
The River Hawks scored 12 of 25 3-pointers (48 percent) to Loyola's 9 of 22 (40.9 percent).
Gregory finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, Andre Walker added 17 points, and Andrew Kostecka and James Fives had 10 apiece for the Greyhounds (1-4).
