Golder rallies Valparaiso late to 77-64 win over Bradley
VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Markus Golder scored all of his 16 points in the second half and Valparaiso rallied late to beat Bradley 77-64 on Saturday night.
Bradley was up 31-26 at the break and held a slim lead through most of the second half, taking it to 60-56 with 5:56 to play. Golder and Max Joseph replied for the Crusaders (14-15, 5-11 Missouri Valley Conference) with back-to-back layups, sparking a 21-0 run that included a Bakari Evelyn 3-pointer and a Golder dunk to go ahead 77-60 with 55 seconds left. Bradley's Elijah Childs made a layup and two free throws in the last 50 seconds for the final score.
Evelyn finished with 13 points for Valparaiso. Derrik Smits chipped in nine.
Donte Thomas scored 19 points with five rebounds for the Braves (18-11, 8-8). Darrell Brown added 16 points and Childs had 14.
