LEXINGTON, Va. -- QJ Peterson had 15 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes and VMI beat Division III Frostburg State 72-53 on Tuesday night.

Julian Eleby added 13 points and Trey Chapman scored 11 for the Keydets (3-7), who won their second in a row after a 1-7 start.

VMI held the Bobcats to 20 percent shooting (6 of 30) in the first half and built a 40-15 lead at the break. Frostburg State was unable to cut much into the deficit until closing the game on a 10-2 run.

Eleby was 3 of 6 from 3-point range but the rest of the Keydets made 2 of 19. VMI made 30 of 63 overall from the field and outrebounded Frostburg State 42-31.

Edwin Cole had 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting for the Bobcats. Tyler Michael and Dalton Gaus added 11 points each.
