UC Davis beats William Jessup 87-64
DAVIS, Calif. -- Chima Moneke had 18 points and six rebounds and UC Davis never trailed after the opening minutes in an 87-64 win over William Jessup on Saturday.
The Aggies (6-6) led by 17 at halftime and traded 10-0 runs the Warriors early in the second half. UC Davis had its largest lead at 81-54 with 4:09 left.
Lawrence White added 14 points, Siler Schneider scored 12 and J.T. Adenrele had 10 for the Aggies, who made 9 of 19 from 3-point range.
Tahron Morrison led William Jessup with 13 points. Brandon Lindsey added 12, Chris Murry scored 11 and Christian Jones 10 for the Warriors.
Lindsey and Cody Wilcox gave William Jessup an early 6-2 lead with a pair of 3-pointers before the Aggies pulled away to lead 24-8 with 13:06 left in the first half.
The Warriors, an NAIA member, never got the deficit back to single digits from there.
