Thibodeaux's triple-double leads New Orleans to 90-63 win
NEW ORLEANS -- Travin Thibodeaux had a triple-double as New Orleans snapped a three-game losing skid, dominating Florida College 90-63 on Friday night.
Thibodeaux had 10 points, 10 rebounds and dished out a career-high 11 assists to get the first triple-double at New Orleans (2-3) since 2009.
Erik Thomas and Christavious Gill combined for 43 points. Thomas was 10 of 12 from the floor for 23 points. Gill, who nailed 3 of 6 from long range, made 8 of 11 field goal attempts for 20 points and had five assists. Tevin Broyles chipped in 13 points.
New Orleans was only up 38-31 at the break but pulled away in the second half, winning that period 52-32.
The Privateers shot 60 percent (33-55) from the field while limiting Florida College to 23-of-58 shooting. They also won the rebound battle, 43-25.
Kent Hegarty and Eddie Moralobo led the Falcons with 17 and 16 points respectively.
