Hofstra goes on 12-0 run in final minute to get past Drexel
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Justin Wright-Foreman scored 20 points including the go-ahead 3-pointer late in a 12-0 run that propelled Hofstra past Drexel 79-77 on Saturday night.
Wright-Foreman's 3 gave the Pride (12-13, 4-8 Colonial) a 78-77 lead with 20 seconds left and Kari Jonsson missed a jumper for the Dragons (8-17, 2-10) with 7 seconds left. Eli Pemberton made 1 of 2 free throws to cap the scoring.
Hofstra trailed for the entire second half until its late run and was behind 77-67 on Rodney Williams' dunk with 1:15 left.
Pemberton had a 3-pointer with 57 seconds left, Brian Bernardi hit another 3 and Deron Powers made a pair of free throws with 24 seconds to go.
Powers also finished with 20 points, Pemberton had 16 and Bernardi 10.
Rodney Williams had 26 points and eight rebounds, Kurk Lee scored 19 and Austin Williams 16 for the Dragons.
