Foulland has 20 and 12, Bucknell holds off Army
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Nana Foulland had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Zach Thomas added 19 points and Bucknell held off Army 84-76 on Monday night.
The Bison (10-5, 2-0 Patriot League), led by a dozen at halftime, 16 with 14:27 to play and 10 with 5:27 to go. But the Black Knights (6-8, 0-2) couldn't get closer than six after a John Emezie layup with 3:08 to play. Foulland answered with a free throw and Army came up empty on two possessions before Thomas made a free throw.
Matthew Wilson had a tip-in for Army but Thomas broke free for a quick layup to make it 80-72.
Avi Toomer added 11 points for Bucknell with Stephen Brown and Kimbal MacKenzie adding 10 each. Brown had seven assists.
Jordan Fox had 26 points for Army and Wilson had 15.
The Bison shot 51 percent and went 16 of 26 from the foul line while Army went 8 of 28 on 3-pointers, shooting 45 percent overall and making just 8 of 12 free throws.
