Hawaii edges Florida Atlantic 64-63 in Rainbow Classic

HONOLULU -- Gibson Johnson scored the game-winner with 6.3 seconds left to lead Hawaii to a 64-63 win over Florida Atlantic on Tuesday morning in the Rainbow Classic.
Johnson scored the final five points for Hawaii and finished with 13. Noah Allen led the Rainbow Warriors (2-1) with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Sheriff Drammeh added 13 points.
Ronald Delph led FAU (0-3) with a game-high 22 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.
The Owls used an 8-0 run to lead 63-59 with 1:07 left. But Johnson's 3-point play helped chip away at the lead before his winning basket underneath.
Frank Booker's 3-point attempt fell short at the buzzer.
Hawaii led 30-27 at the half and shot 41 percent from the field. Drammeh finished 3 of 4 from 3-point range.
