Moore scores career-high 39; North Florida beats Lipscomb
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Dallas Moore scored a career-high 39 points to lead North Florida to a 93-82 upset victory over Lipscomb on Thursday night for its third straight win.
North Florida (12-17, 7-5 Atlantic Sun) has won three of its last four games. Lipscomb (17-12, 9-3) was tied with Florida Gulf Coast atop the conference standings and had its six-game win streak snapped. The Bisons are now a game back of FGCU.
Moore was 14 of 20 from the field, made three 3-pointers and 8 of 12 free throws. Wajid Aminu had 19 points and Garrett Sams added 17 for the Ospreys, who shot 61 percent (33 of 54) from the floor.
Rob Marberry scored 26 points to lead Lipscomb.
The Ospreys took the lead for good seven minutes in and led 41-33 at halftime. The Bisons pulled to a 51-all tie before North Florida used a 34-21 surge to take a 13-point lead with 1:41 left.
