Green Bay uses 25-0 run to beat Northland College 84-49
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. -- Jamar Hurdle scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, Warren Jones had 12 points and four steals, and Green Bay used a 25-0 second-half run to pull away from Northland College for an 84-49 season-opening victory on Saturday.
Northland College led by as many as 10 in the first half before the Phoenix fought back to lead 37-32 at halftime. Dan Campion hit a 3 for the Lumberjacks to get within 39-35, but Northland College went 0 for 9 with nine turnovers in the next eight minutes as the Phoenix built its lead to 64-35.
Kerem Kanter capped the spree with a layup with 10:51 left.
Trevor Anderson had 11 points and six assists for Green Bay, and Khalil Small added 10 points and five boards.
Rijo Jackson was the lone Lumberjack to score in double figures, making three 3-pointers en route to 13 points. Tyler Peterson chipped in with seven points, six boards and two steals.
