Rider rallies to beat Wagner 70-67
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Dimencio Vaughn scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Rider rallied in the second half to beat Wagner 70-67 on Saturday.
Vaughn was 5 of 9 from the field and made all three of his free throws for the Broncs (3-2). Stevie Jordan added 12 points and Jimmie Taylor and Tyere Marshall had 10 points apiece.
Jordan hit a jumper to put the Broncs on top 57-56 with 5:39 to play after trailing most of the second half. Rider led the rest of the way and a pair of free throws by Taylor in the final five seconds sealed with win.
The Broncs trailed by nine, 36-27, with 2:06 left in the first half but a pair of 3-pointers -- by Kealen Washington-Ives and Xavier Lundy -- in the final minute helped cut Wagner's lead to 37-33 at the break.
Mike Aaman led the Seahawks (2-3) with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
