Kent State beats Niagara 100-72
KENT, Ohio -- Jimmy Hall had 20 points and nine rebounds, Adonis De La Rosa had 13 points and 11 boards and Kent State beat Niagara 100-72 on Wednesday night.
Jaylin Walker added 17 points and Jerrelle DeBerry scored 11 for the Golden Flashes (6-3), who led the entire way after Hall scored the first four points.
Kent State opened with a 20-4 run, had a 45-30 lead at halftime and led by no less than 12 in the second half. Niagara (2-7) trailed 70-57 with 8:57 left but the Golden Flashes outscored the Purple Eagles 30-15 from there to close it out.
Kent State had only four turnovers and Niagara committed nine.
Shane Gatling had 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead Niagara. Kahlil Dukes added 17 points and eight rebounds and Matt Scott had 15 points and eight boards.
