RADFORD, Va. -- Keon Johnson had 23 points, Bjorn and Anders Broman added 14 each and Winthrop beat Radford 81-65 on Wednesday night.

The Eagles (17-5, 9-2 Big South) scored the first eight points and never trailed in the game but had a 12-point lead from the first half erased when the Highlanders (9-14, 4-7) tied it at 43 early in the second.

Anders Broman's 3-pointer with 14:08 left capped a 10-3 run at 53-46 and the Eagles pushed their lead into double digits for the final 10 minutes.

Johnson and Bjorn Broman each made 4 of 8 from 3-point range and Anders Broman made 2 of 3.

Ed Polite Jr. had 21 points and Christian Bradford scored 14 for Radford. Donald Hicks had nine points and 10 rebounds.

Radford missed all eight of its 3-point attempts in the first half and finished 2 of 19 from long distance.
