BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Chris Cokley had 18 points and eight rebounds as UAB rolled over Troy 74-51 on Thursday night.

UAB (2-1) is 9-0 against Troy and has won eight of the nine meetings by double digits.

Dirk Williams and Denzell Watts had 11 points apiece for the Blazers. Watts hit 3 of 4 for distance and Deion Lavender chipped in nine points and dished out nine assists. William Lee had seven points and blocked seven shots.

The Blazers were 26 of 53 (49.1%) from the floor while limiting Troy to 19 of 71 (26.8%).

UAB, which ran out to a 32-17 halftime lead, scored 28 points in the paint, limiting Troy to 16. The Blazers also had 12 fast-break points.

Kevin Baker led Troy (2-1) with 12 points. DeVon Walker grabbed 11 rebounds and Jordon Varnado had nine points, eight boards and blocked three shots for the Trojans.
