NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Anthony Elechi scored 17, on 6-of-8 shooting, with nine rebounds, and Lyonell Gaines had 15 points and 10 boards to help No. 3 seed Morehead State beat sixth-seeded Murray State 75-66 in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament Thursday night.

Xavier Moon added 16 points for Morehead State, which will face No. 2 seed Tennessee-Martin (18-13) in the semifinals Friday.

Murray State (17-14) got 16 first-half points from Bryce Jones to take a 36-29 lead into the break, but shot just 34.6 percent from the field, including 2 of 11 (18.2 percent) from 3-point range, after halftime.

Morehead State (19-11) hit 14 of 28 shots, 15 of 19 free throws and converted 10 offensive rebounds into 12 second-chance points in the final 20 minutes to take control and pull away.

Jones finished with 23 points and six assists for Murray State. Jeffery Moss scored 21, including five 3s.
