Oral Roberts beats NAIA member John Brown 88-53

TULSA, Okla. -- Obi Emegano scored 14 points and Kris Martin added 13 to help Oral Roberts beat NAIA member John Brown 88-53 on Wednesday night.

Oral Roberts led by 25 points at halftime and used a 13-0 run, including a dunk and 3-pointer by Emegano, early in the second half to further secure it.

Javan White added 11 points and DaQuan Jeffries had 10 for Oral Roberts (8-2), which is off to its best start since the 2004-05 season. The Golden Eagles went on to win 25 games that year.

Jeffries and Albert Owens grabbed nine rebounds apiece as Oral Roberts outrebounded John Brown 60-38.

Griffin Brady led John Brown with 13 points and Ricky Roberts added 11. The pair combined for 9-of-27 shooting as John Brown was held to 27 percent. Ten of John Brown's 20 field goals were from 3-point range.
