South Dakota State rolls to 80-58 win over IUPUI
BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Deondre Parks scored 17 points as South Dakota State rolled to an 80-58 win over IUPUI on Saturday night.
Parks was 7 of 13 from the field for the Jackrabbits (19-5, 8-2 Summit League). George Marshall and Mike Daum added 16 points apiece. The team hit 52.5 percent from the field overall and 50 percent from the foul line.
South Dakota State scored first and never trailed in the first half on its way to a 36-25 advantage at the break.
IUPUI closed the gap to 45-38 early in the second half but the Jackrabbits pulled ahead again and Parks hit a jumper to make it 51-40 with 14:02 to play and they led by double digits the rest of the way.
Matt O'Leary scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Jaguars (11-15, 7-4). Jordan Pickett added 13 points.
