Fresno State beats Delaware State in 80-59 win
FRESNO, Calif. -- Cezar Guerrero shot 4 for 6 from 3-point range and scored 20 points to go along with six rebounds in Fresno State's 80-59 win over Delaware State in the Roundball Showcase championship.
Fresno State (5-0) had a rebounding edge of 51-32. Torren Jones had 10 rebounds, Cullen Russo had nine and Karachi Ed finished with eight. Marvelle Harris finished with 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Delaware State (0-5) got 10 points apiece from Kavon Waller and Aric Dickerson.
Fresno State led 40-34 at halftime. Mrdjan Gasevic's jumper for the Hornets cut the deficit to 48-44 with 14:30 to play, but the Bulldogs' 20-0 run over the next seven minutes put the game away.
The Bulldogs are 5-0 for the first time since starting the season 7-0 in the 2006 season.
