NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Jared Johnson scored 16 points and Thomas Walkup added 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds as Stephen F. Austin dominated Division II Arkansas Tech 86-48 on Saturday night.
Clide Geffrard added 12 points and 14 boards for Stephen F. Austin (6-3) which has won six of its last seven games. The Lumberjacks continue to rule on their home court, enjoying a 34-1 record in two-plus seasons.
SFA got off to a slow start and was ahead 39-33 at the half, but then had a dominating second half, winning that second period 47-15 to close out the Wonder Boys.
SFA made 33 of 78 (42 percent) from the floor while limiting Arkansas Tech to 18-of-50 shooting (36 percent). The Lumberjacks also won the battle of the boards 53-40.
Andrew Guillory led Arkansas Tech with 13 points and Tyler Corley added 12.
