St. Francis (BKN) holds off Robert Morris 56-49
NEW YORK -- Antonio Jenifer had a season-high 14 rebounds to go along with 10 points, and Tyreek Jewell and Yunus Hopkinson each scored 10 as St. Francis-Brooklyn beat Robert Morris 56-49 on Saturday.
St. Francis (6-11, 2-2 Northeast) dominated the glass with a 51-27 advantage. Jenifer entered the game averaging just 4.3 rebounds per contest. The Terriers, however, shot just 15 for 50 from the floor.
Hopkinson's 3 with 7:51 left gave St. Francis the lead for good at 37-35. St. Francis shot 13 for 14 from the free-throw line in the final three minutes.
Billy Giles' layup with 21 seconds remaining for Robert Morris (3-14, 1-3) cut the deficit to 50-47, but Hopkinson and Amdy Fall combined to make six free throws down the stretch to hold off the Colonials.
Rodney Pryor scored 14 points and Elijah Minnie had 11 for Robert Morris.
