CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Patrick Steeves sank a pair of game-winning free throws and blocked a last-second shot as Harvard held off Princeton 73-71 in front of a sellout crowd Friday night, crimping Princeton's hopes for a share of the Ivy League title.

Princeton falls to 10-2 in the Ivy, while Yale (12-1) cruised past Cornell. The Tigers need a Yale loss at Columbia Saturday and must win their last two games.

Steeves, a 6-foot-7 senior reserve who was sidelined by injuries until this season, scored a career-high 25 points with three 3-pointers, a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line and had two blocks for Harvard (13-16, 5-8).

Devin Cannaday drove to the hoop, tying the game at 71-71 as Princeton rallied in the final 34 seconds, and Amir Bell fouled Steeves with seven seconds left. After Steeves put Harvard up 73-72, he blocked Myles Stephens' shot to preserve the win.

Steven Cook led Princeton (20-6) with 16 points.
