Hall leads Kent State past Bowling Green 62-59
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Jimmy Hall scored 26 points, hauled in a career-high 16 rebounds and Kent State held off a second half Bowling Green rally for a 62-59 win.
Xavier Pollard added 12 points and Khaliq Spicer had nine rebounds for Kent State (14-5, 5-1 Mid-Atlantic), which extended its win streak to four.
Bowling Green (12-7, 3-3) trailed 30-19 at the break but used a 9-0 spurt capped by Wesley Alcegaire's 3-pointer to trim the gap to 32-28 early in the second half. The Falcons stayed close, tying the score at 51 with three free throws from Spencer Parker with 5:52 left.
Kent State quickly reclaimed the advantage with an 8-1 run that included three buckets from Hall and hung on the rest of the way.
Parker and Alcegaire scored 14 points apiece to lead Bowling Green, which was held to just 20 percent shooting in the first half.
