Siena places 4 in double figures, beats Canisius 90-67
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Freshman Nico Clareth scored 22 points and Javion Ogunyemi 21 to help Siena to a 90-67 victory over Canisius Thursday night, improving to 11-1 at home.
Four Saints landed in double figures as Brett Bisping scored 15 points and Ryan Oliver 14, and the team shot 64 percent in the second half as they pulled away.
Siena (17-9, 10-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) went on a 14-6 run to take a 26-16 lead midway through the first half and led by double figures the rest of the way.
The Saints dished out 20 assists on 31 made field goals and finished 31 of 59 (54.5 percent) from the floor. Clareth, Ogunyemi and Lavon Long each had five assists.
Sophomore Kassius Robertson scored 19 points to lead Canisius (11-15, 6-9).
The win gives Siena a sweep of the regular-season series against Canisius for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
