WASHINGTON -- Jesse Reed scored 21 points as American University rallied in the second half to upend Navy 72-65 on Wednesday night.

Reed was 7 of 12 from the field including three from distance for the Eagles (10-18, 8-9 Patriot League). Delante Jones added 20 points and Jalen Rhea chipped in 10 points. American made 9 of 18 (50 percent) overall from beyond the arc while Navy was just 1 of 11.

Navy took a 60-52 lead with 7:12 left in the game but Marko Vasic responded with a jumper which sparked a 15-0 run that gave American a 69-60 advantage with 1:22 remaining. The Eagles led the rest of the way.

Navy led through most of the first half and had a 32-29 edge at the break. The Midshipmen (18-12, 9-8) stretched it to 47-33 with 14:49 to play in the second half.
