STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Jameel Warney finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds and tied his career-high with eight blocks to lead Stony Brook to an 85-72 win over previously unbeaten Princeton Saturday.
Warney added five assists and shot 11 of 14 for Stony Brook (4-2), which shot 63.5% from the field. Rayshaun McGrew added 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting and Roland Nyama had 15 points.
Princeton (4-1) had won its four games by an average of more than 23 points.
The Seawolves led 41-30 at halftime, but Princeton reeled off nine straight points in less than two minutes after the break capped by Spencer Weisz's 3-pointer to make it 41-39.
After a Seawolves timeout, Warney scored inside, blocked Pete Miller's layup attempt, gathered a rebound and scored inside again to make it 45-39. That began a 13-5 run from which Princeton never recovered.
