Richmond shuts down Saint Louis 67-53
SAINT LOUIS, Mo. -- T.J. Cline had 18 points, Terry Allen added 15 and Richmond used a strong second half to get past Saint Louis 67-53 on Wednesday night.
The Spiders (13-10, 5-6 Atlantic 10) opened the second half with a 13-1 run, stretching a one-point halftime lead to 45-32. ShawnDre' Jones added 10 points for Richmond, which led by double digits the rest of the way.
Aaron Hines and Mike Crawford had the only field goals for Billikens (8-15, 3-8) in the first 13:34 of the second half.
Saint Louis was 2 of 16 from the field and trailed by 58-40 before Miles Reynolds made the first of three-straight field goal attempts with 6:26 left.
Reynolds scored all nine of his points while the Billikens made six of their last 10 shots, but it was too late to challenge the Spiders. Ash Yacoubou scored 10.
