CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Patrick Wallace and Armel Potter each scored 14 points to lead Charleston Southern to a 97-65 win over Johnson & Wales (NC) Wednesday night.
The Buccaneers (1-2) won their 12th -straight home opener. Despite the win, Johnson and Wales outshot Charleston Southern 41.4 percent to 37.7.
Danny Upchurch's 3-pointer with 5:54 until halftime put Charleston Southern up 27-10 capping a 24-6 run in a 10-minute span. The Buccaneers took a 46-18 lead to the locker room at half.
